Ski Wisdom

What's up newschoolers,

Figured I would share a pretty cool story with you guys. I was hesitant to post this but I figured at least one person would appreciate it.

Yesterday as I was getting out of my truck to go to class a guy came up to me in a wheelchair. He had noticed my skis on my roof rack and asked if I was a park skier. I immediately told him I was and he told me that he used to be a huge park skier before he got in an accident that paralyzed him from the waist down. He told me skiing was the thing that he missed being able to do the most. He told me not to take anything for granted especially skiing because you never know when your last run will be whether it be an injury skiing or something else.

Moral of the story: go balls to the wall every run and appreciate being able to ski because you never know if it could be your last run!

I don't know what I would do if I was forced to give up skiing. If it was never introduced to me, then I probably would be a depressed alcoholic bastard.

If it got taken away from me, I would be a cynical fatass that hated life.

If skiing was taken away from me, I would imagine biking would be as well. I don't think I could live in a wheelchair, would probably follow the path of my ancestors and start heavily drinking.
