Ski weight?

So I have the volkl bridge 2013's which is a full rocker ski.

I find them super stiff and hard to butter well. They are also really heavy with my ski boot (Salomon X Pro 110).

Like 5 kilograms per ski and boot together (11 pounds). This means its 10 kilograms (22 pounds) on my feet altogether.

Are my skis suitable for the park? Does weight affect your performance? Does rocker make doing park more difficult (jumps and jibs)?

I'ave heard that camber is the most suitable.

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it. +k

It's all preference. Not sure about the bridges but my friend has the walls and says they're super stiff and they are also a comp ski. Deven though it could be harder to butter and press with them, the stiffer skis could help with sketchy landings. If you're looking for a soft ski get the Atomic Infamous or some Jskis.

Thanks man. Yeah I'll probably save up for a new pair.

In my experience, a softer ski, more rockered is more fun in the park. And I've also found Volkls to be very stiff.

Again, this is all preference. Some people will love stiff skis, others hate them

the variance of park skis is probably very minimal in terms of how much the differences in the ski realistically help you.

that said if you prefer one type of ski over the other, the small differences may be noticeable to you and if you are on a ski you like you might be better at skiing just because you are less focused on the parts of the ski you dislike.

at least that is how it has been for me
