Ski wax help!

So I'm planning on getting all the essentials to waxing skis soon and was looking at wax the other day. Can I just use any type of wax, or is there a specific type of wax for park skiing? Would it matter if I used wax for race skis?I also noticed that they sold wax according to different temperatures. Does it matter if i use the wax meant for a cold day on a warm day? Also is there a specific way of waxing park skis, or is it the same for all skis? Thanks for the help!

If you use cold wax on a warm day your skis will be very slow. and vice versa. race wax works fine but find ones with a broader temp range.

Not that I have ever seen, Just make sure to scrape them, brushing helps too but isn't necessary. PM me and ill help you with waxing questions too.

honestly if you're just skiing park it really doesn't matter what type of wax you're using if it's a hot wax. sure you won't be able to gain quite as much speed if you have warm wax for cold snow, but if you're just hitting rails and whatnot it really doesn't matter an iota unless you're trying to keep up speed through a windy course or something.

I just get a big block of cheap mid range wax (like -5/-15 C range) and use it for everything. can't complain. cheap and easy.

Just use a good all temp I have liked Hertel for the last couple years. I'm going to try some Boardside down since that brick is almost gone.

Just get a pack of 3 different temp waxs. Having the right temp wax makes a huge difference. People always say it does not matter for park, but it does. Having your skis fast will mean you need less room to run up into features, if you have a case you can get going again quicker and of course it makes jumps easier to maintain speed.

If you enjoy skiing, learn to maintain your kit and you will be amazed how much better your kit will ride and last.

I find if you live on the east coast all temp is the best because the conditions vary so much.

My favourite type of wax is kuu if you can afford it I recommend mach, machII or machIII
