Could you tell me the best way to tune your skis at home or a web site that could i just got an waxing iron for christmas and i would like to do it. I have an idea but and tips would help thank you. and nothing that will fuck up anyones skis

waxing your own skis is about as easy as pitting on your ski botts...... its all common sense, and if you dont do it right, its not like its perminant, its wax.....

thanks do you know how to do the nose anyone because i have a plastic piece on it and i dont wnat to melt that. how do i get the wax in??

i've worked at a few different ski shops around the ottawa area as a tech and i must say waxing is the most important part of the tune...for skis drip a beed of wax down the length of the ski...then use the iron to spread...after its been spread and the entire ski is covered go back to the tip and slowly run the iron down the ski letting each part of the ski say under the iron for about 5-10seconds...the wax should still look wet for a while after its out from under the iron (this allows for the ski to absorb the wax) then let cool for about 15-20 min...yes it takes that long for teh wax that has been absorbed to cool. Then scrap the ski till you think you've taken all the wax off...then scrap it a couple more times...use i nilon brush and brush brush brush for a good 5min or so...then your done! don't worry about waxing plastic tips...it won't help since it doesn't touch the snow!

GO BIG OR GO HOME
