Ski trip to sunshine or lake louise

I'm planning on going out for a week at the end of this month or start of March and was wondering what's the better place to ski at for the week. I will be staying at the mountain so it's one or the other. I hear sunshine has the best snow from a buddy out there but I figured you guys could give me a better insight to which I'd have more fun at.

I enjoy steeps and trees. Pretty much anything any east coaster dreams about outside of park.

I really really really do not care about the ski patroller thing since I'm not a local and it's too expensive to not enjoy myself as much as possible, so that is not a deciding factor what so ever.

I have now been awared by a very nice lady on the phone not to stay at the resort so I'm guessing I'd be somewhere in banff

Ski a day at Louise and a day at Sunshine and then decide from there. People around here are pretty split between whether they prefer Louise or Sunshine so try them both out. Sunshine does get more snow but the good terrain is more obvious at Louise.

For park Sunshine sucks balls so bear that in mind if you do want to ski park at all - Louise's is usually really good and even Norquay has an excellent three jump line and some really nice rails. Get out to Kicking Horse for a day or two as well if you can.

You'll want to ski at both for sure. You'd be bored if you spent an entire week at only one place.

My opinion is that Sunshine has some nice natural freeride terrain and better snow, but Louise has more variety and longer, steeper runs. The park at Louise is huge - most of it terrifies me.

Snow conditions are adequate at the moment, but not amazing (it hasn't snowed much since December). Last year, March was insane so if you are flexible maybe come out in March rather than February.

If you want any other suggestions, let me know...

thanks for the info actually made me 100% more stoked to go. definitely gonna do both and kicking horse if i can afford it.

If kicking horse is getting snow you don't want to miss out on that really fun mountain. You will definitely want to ski Louise and sunshine though both are super fun mountains but you will get bored if you're there for a week.
