Ski Town House swapping

Has anyone ever looked into this? My wife and I own a home in Park City. We want to head to Aspen in January but are thrown off by the $400 hotels. We thought, wouldn’t it be cool to swap a home with someone?

We stay in Aspen in someone’s home. They come to Park City and stay in ours. No cost either way. Free place to stay.

Obviously both parties would have to be in opposite destinations at same time. But that has the possibility to happen easily.

We built a Facebook group. Working on website currently and app to follow. We want this to be a VRBO/Vacasa thing. But it would obviously be your own home and no cost.

Thoughts?

This sounds like couch surfing for rich people. Someone should make the app

App and website in the making if this gains some traction.

It’s not really for rich people. More middle class. Like myself and my wife are perfect examples. I have an Ikon pass and look to travel. But the $400 Aspen hotels are a turn off. Find another couple or family and swap homes sounds perfect.

As of now it would be on your own good will for damages or issues. But being in each other’s owned homes would cut down on that drastic.

Think of it as a free VRBO in a way.

Right now it just needs traffic and people thinking of the idea. And then see if it catches

I live in Breck in a ski-in-ski-out studio next to Snowflake lift. Down for a ski town housing swap! I'd love to swap for PC sometime this season. Also, if anyone is in Bozeman/Big Sky/Jackson and would like to swap for breck, deffff hit me up.

just made a post.

Jan 23-June 8th, Ideally looking for 5 bedroom, large living room, HD tv, two computer rooms, home office and large balcony with hottub. My place (see attached picture) is a single bedroom located in the heart of downtown with great view and close access to nearby venues. The water, heating and electricity are externally sourced from neighbouring grids. The location is great and really a hole-in-the-wall spot in the big city! This place is great for open-minded individuals and families, once in a lifetime experience!

Serious replies only, willing to work with date ranges.

Expanding from strictly ski homes to ski home. Got a 1br condo on TPC Scottsdale for the FedEx Open if anyone wants to swap for a week in the mountains...

Looking for a week in Tahoe. Putting up a week of camping in the bittersweet parking lot out of my subaru. DM me if you have anything.
