So last Saturday, I was eating lunch in east village at Copper with friends, and was thinking to myself - wow that is kinda neat the guy leaving there has the same skis as one of my buddies - which isn't a wildly common ski.
Well he had my buddies skis - Apparently someone stole my friends 2010 Volkl Gotamas and managed to walk off with a bunch of other skis at the same time. While we were outside puzzling over this other skiers were coming outside to find their skis had been nabbed two. All total while we were standing there we met three other people who had their skis stolen.
So I guess this is more of cautionary tale, if you have nice new skis you may want to lock em up or mix em up when at Copper.
In the end it turned out ok, we pooled money to surprised my friend a new set of Gotamas, but it was a downer for a bit there.
