yeah so ski team started for me the 14th so we do dryland training which is basically the team running up and around these hills the woods. its only an hour tuesday, wednesday, and thursday. thursday we go inside and do wight stuff with this crazy lady who is way to much into fitness. the bad thing is we wont start skiing until the middle of december.

any one else start ski team?

I ski race too, we have dryland on tuesdays and thrusdays.

We start skiing in the middle of december. Not a trace of snow here yet...

actually it makes you a much better skier.

and yeah, i was considering quitting my job and racing 3 days a week. i think im gonna go for it.

ya ski racing is pretty much year round for me. I've been on snow about 50 days since june and i do dryland almost every day.

last year, i ithink i only went down the course 3 times? the rest of the time i was in the park. and to give you an example of how gay racers can be i quote this kid who was on the team. - "hey, let's tuck the park" this reatard wants to just get into a tuck throughout the whole park! hitting no features. what a tool.

Now that i've been racing on a national scene for a while i've realized that east coast racers are a lot gayer for the most part than west coast racers. i couldn't tell you why but it just seems to be a trend i've noticed.

H4EY HE6RES A9N IDE0A, LEARN TO FU0CKING SP7ELL WITHO8UT ADD2ING NUM7BERS TO Y8OUR FUCK3ING WORDS.

And school teams suck because it's all the people you hate at school, on a ski team.

haha the free ride team at my school we had one meeting last week and then we just had a week to chill then we start skiing after thanksgiving

once again any racer could kick your ass at any kind of skiing

i dont race but i did for like 5 years.........BIATCH

I was supposed to do dryland for freestyle when I was on the team, but for some reason I decided not to. That may explain why my mogul skiing never really went anywhere.

And for the people criticizing racers with their I-have-a-300-word-vocabulary gay references, I suggest you keep your opinions to yourself because they are wrong. A racer is a much more well-rounded skier than a kid who sits in the park all day and tries to prove how ghetto he is.

those of you that think ski racers are gay are complet idiots. Ski racing is a huge part of our sport and the ones that are good have more balls then half the park skiers I know. When was the last time you true "core" park siers hit 90km/h in the park? You idiots that down talk racing are fucking tools. When I use to race we would train for racing in the morning and then grab our twins and hit the park all afternoon. How about you dumb fucks shut the fuck up next time, seeings how you dont know what the fuck your talking about

YEA... wellllllllll i crosss CUNTtreee ski race...

its so much better then gay ass downhill shit

so FUCK YOU ALL

i go soooo much faster then you guys could EVER

we run all day everyday all year long,....

LOVE IT!@

so HA

and park is for gays who can only hit bumps and jumps

so have fun with ur stupid "risk you list, glideing down a hill" type of crap=olla

hope everyone stays safe with there winter sport of choice.....

Ski racing was some of the most fun I had skiing. I guess it depends on the people on your team though, we would train for like 3 runs, and then just go fuck around. We we train as a team in the form of a chinese downhill. Dryland sucked though, we never had much fun with that.

skiing would not be anywhere near where it is today if it was not for racing driving the technological side of things.

I love my schools ski team... We just show up for the races (three a year), no practice. Last year we won every race and won provincials with no practice, it's awesome. An extra four days off school to be spent at the slopes, totally worth it in my eyes.

yea you really proved your point you idiot. I said the I use to race back when I was younger, now im all free style. Racers that arnt asshole deserve some respect, just like park skiers who actually know a few things about our sport on a whole, not just the park side of it, which counts you out.

ski team is alright if you don't get too serious about it. ie. spandex serious.

other then that it can really help you out with your skiing. i started at 15 and im 20 now and i carve like a pro.

im definately not a racer, never have been, but i have mad respect for a lot of them. it takes balls to do that shit

I do ski team for my school. dryland starts next week. we play soccer and the coach threatens us with running, but we never have to run. best part? our team owns every year. this is the teams third year, and the past two years we've been league champs and have gone to states. boo ya. k i'm done bragging. sorry... ski team is like my baby...helped start it and it's still grassroots at my school.

Ski racers are like the french yea there is a few chill french people but they are few and far between there mostly just douchbags that fag out with each other

I used to race because the coach used to be cool so we would never really race and just hit the park. But then he started being an uptight...well, racer, so I am not doing it this year. I hear from my friends that are doing it that he said this year if you have twin tips you need to get new skis because he was so sick if my shenanigans last year. Oh, and for those saying that any racer could kick anybodys ass at any kind of skiing, its just not true. The majority of the kids on my racing team were okay at racing but sucked balls at anything else.

yea ski racing is deffinanly good for becoming a good skier. i did when i was younger and before i learned about the beauty of freeskiingm i admit its pretty gay.

Racing is where it all started. Most Freeskiers started racing and decide park was where they wanted to be. At least they can ski without falling all the time

Allright buddy....first of all I never said Im just a park skier, hell, I dont even ski park that much. A good 70% of the time Im flying around the mountain. I know how to fucking ski, and I ski fast. I could race If I wanted too, except I have testicals therefore I do not.

lol i dont have racing skis, but it would be pretty funny to see someone go down a slalom run in twins

and switch

coach bus rides are so fun in ski team. like really fun. thats basically why i do it. besidesthe fun of racing

racings fun sept gay downhill suits. i hav to were 1but ive been comlain bout it adn wish we didnt hav to were them. the best part of racing is travelling cas u can go to private clubs, do a bit of racing, then go ride there empty park with sweet features.

I'm on my high schools ski team and its not really that serious, even though we do take our region almost every year. But, I think that racing relies wayyy too much on the equipment. So much of it is, who has the most money to get new skis every year with perfect edges and who can get fluro for every race. You don't need any of that shit to be good at park.
