Hey how is ski sundown? I'm going to be moving down there and would like to buy a season pass there. i know its small, but i ski blue hills so that doesn't matter. really, i just want to know how the park is so if you have any info on that it would be greatly appreciated.

Ive been skiing at sundown for years but not so much in the past few. I was there last year and they had a couple parks. One was just rails/boxes and i didnt go into the other but i saw the jump at the bottom and it looked decent. I know a couple other people ski there so theyre probly better to ask

I went there once around christmas time... It has a pretty good park and an awesome vibe. If I lived closer I would definetely be there more often

They also have night skiing and the whole mountain is lit so you can head there later and ski til 10 PM. Its not bad for a small mountain, my only gripe is the ticket prices are a bit excessive for what it is

The rails are made out of shaved twigs and sticks and bound together by porcupine spines. The best "jib" they have is probably the emperor seal carcass that sits in the middle of stinger. Nothing beats tapping that thing and hearing the maggots crunch. Also most of the kids that go there are pygmy warriors from the Qing dynasty. Watch out, they don't take kindly to strangers and set buoy traps all over the mountain. Lord Fluff can usually hold them off but ya never know. Dope Mountain.

The mountain is pretty expensive, but the season pass is definitely worth it. Get it before october 31st tho. The park is the best in CT and theyve got some amazing snow making. The night skiing helps too. I got 60+ days this year.

www.facebook.com/ski.sundown is our fan page.

there's thousands of photos and hundreds of video clips there. Hope you decide to join us next season. We try to work our asses off and improve constantly.

if you're interested, there's a pretty good sized end of season party tomorrow with suburban sports. it's our annual bump comp day with Thomas Hooker Brewery. all categories are competiting for skis in the first place prize. It's light hearted, and it'll be 60 degrees / sunny tomorrow. we're bringing in exta help (snowmaking dudes) to help with the digging in the morning so stinger park is as good as can be expected (currently raining here, gay)

should be fun.

ya I'm deffinently gonna ski there next year. it looks sick and I'm pumped to go there next year, and since I'm moving to simsbury, CT ill be able to ride there a ton.

im a ski sundownian, lotsa fun there, close and good for its size. they have a 25 footer, probably 15 rails, 5 boxes, few pipes and cool little features on the side of toms treat. Also, local photographers usually go and take pictures off the 25 footer, it's really nice.
