Im looking to build a summer setup in my backyard soon, got all the plans and tools and everything. But my parents wont let me build it. Are there any ways i could convince to let me do it?Cheers.

Kill your parents..

on a serious note, explain to them why you want to build it and try getting them to see your side of the argument. Skiing is a sport that means something to you and you want to practice and progress in the summer, even if the local hill is closed. I feel like a lot of parents dont think that skiing on handrails really classifies it as a sport and to them you making a backyard setup just seems like an easy way to get hurt. Try to tell them things that will give them peace of mind ie) wearing a helmet, putting a mattress down on the landing etc. explain the benefits and you should be golden. Cheers!

Well if youre making it yourself which isnt that hard then they dont have to worry about the time and effort, as for yard space you could design a portable ladder style drop in that you could pack up and store somewhere when youre not using it? Goodluck m8

You have to convey to them that it's not going to be a permanent structure.

It's hard to build a good summer setup that ISN'T a permanent strucutre (in the ground). Good luck.

I have the same exact problem, my parents think it will be a huge eye-sore in the yard and take up too much space. What seems to be working is convincing them that it will not be permanent. Build one you can take down and it will ease their minds about it a little... it did for my parents

Make your drop ramp capable of storing everything, even the down ramp itself. This might make it into a bulky box but you can pretty it up or possibly make it mobile.
