Ski Socks

I need some new ski socks, do I go cheap and get the local shop ones or do I get some branded ones? what do you people wear cheap or up market?

I like the Smartwool ski socks a lot and they always have them on sale on www.cheapandsteep.com so I stock up when I need them, can usually find some for 50%+ off.

Smartwool Phd, Darn Tough, and FITS are my favorites.

I'd recommend investing in good socks, and definitely merino wool

I prefer thin ski socks : the thinner the better. It gives you way better sensation . Too thick and it just is awful.
