Ski sizing(+karma for help)

I'm about 5'9 and around 130. Do you think that size 178 skis are too big for me even if they are center mounted? Thanks. + karma for help
 
I'm 5'9 like 140-145 I ski 178 anthems for park, and 182 czars... i'm gona go ahead and say ye go for 178's I dout you'll find them to be too long,

and especially if your still growing without a dout 178's
 
Those are fine for you, I'm 5' 8" 155 and I skied 176s last year and they were fine so 178 should be perfect for you - they may take some getting used to in the beginning but they'll be fine in the long run.
 
What type of ski: park or pow?

I'm 5'10", and fairly heavy, and 178s are my very upper limit for a park ski.
But then again, I wouldn't have wanted to go down to a 171 in Anthems, so I had no choice really

Sorry for copy and paste but if you do go to that website and pick the ski you want, on the right side of the page will be a little icon that says sizing chart. It is awesome it shows you the length and the corresponding weight and height recommendations. It has a chart for every ski and every length and every brand. Seriously look at it it really helps.
 
I'm 5'9 and 115 pounds. I ski 171 anthem's and they're perfect. I love the site. Perfect size in my opinion.
 
well im 5'8 and rock 176 park and anything bigger for pow

id say bigger is usually better for park skis b/c most are not that heavy and easy to manoveur

hope that helps a little
