Ski sizing for butters

Is a longer ski better for butters? And if a ski is too short can they snap when buttering? I am 5"10 and weigh 120 pounds if that matters.

No generally shorter. At 120lbs. I promise you will not snap a ski. If you are just skiing park look for something with a softer flex (ie. Line Blends.)

I'd say the on3p Magnus 90s will be the best choice for you, they're super poppy and flexible, making it super good for long butters

I’m 6’1”, learned how to butter on a pair of 163 cm skis when I was maybe a couple inches shorter and now ride 186 cm and find it just as easy. You can butter on pretty much anything with relatively the same ease as long as you understand the concept of it. Personally I like the feeling of a longer ski (same height as me) when buttering because it feels like you get a little more flex out of it being there is more ski to physically flex. Good luck though, edge catches are gnarly

i'm roughly the same height (a little heavier) and mostly skied 176-180 feels great. just get a softer ski like blends, blends are the easiest ski to learn butters on imo. i like a stiffer ski for butters since i feel more stable and also can huck off knuckles with switch tailbutter 540s

cambered skis tend to make a bigger difference because the point touching changes a lot with the ski changing size, meaning you have to move your weight further over the ski to get it to flex. Rockered skis let you press or roll the ski foreword more before the ski needs to flex much.
