Ski size

Hellooo! I just bought the 2021 volkl bash 86 women’s ski 156cm (because they didn’t have any other size) after skiing on 2013 K2 Miss conducts 165cm or something, and I’m super nervous I made a mistake with the size. I am 172cm and about 143lbs. I ski on the east coast right now and am focusing on the park which is why I wanted a shorter ski, but these are barley above my chin and I’ve never skied anything under my nose even as a beginner. I’ve been skiing for over 8 years. Do you think it’ll be fine or will I be too unstable?? Thanks for info!

my gf is about your height/weight, I put her in 181 revolt 95s, shes doing remarkble well with the big sticks, and any backseat landing she kan ski out of. but will get her something in 17x range for x-mas.

imho the 156 bash 86 will be to soft for you, and to short. Any chance you can still change them for a longer?

Too soft for learning the park or for all mountain? I’m from the west coast and I’m here on the east for a few years so that’s why I wanna focus on the park

It’s definitely going to feel weird because it’s even a lot shorter then the shorter ski your used too, i would say you should ski a ski between 160-170. Because yes a shorter ski more manageable it can also be very unstable. And honestly a mid length to long ish ski is good for the park because you want that pop, stability and platform that a short ski won’t have

Dang it. I should have demoed some skies before I bought these. I’m so nervous to try them hahaha hopefully I’ll learn fast and maybe I’ll just end up having to sell them

If their in mounted you could just return them I bet, or try selling them on here or even on snowshare on Instagram, sorry to bring any bad news
