Ski size rec

Hey guys been lurking this site for quite a while and finally decided to sign up today. Have seen similar questions but just looking for a more specific response to help me out.

Wondering I'm anybody here is on the new shreditor 112s? Reading it sounds like they run a little long, but still debating 179 vs 189cm

Background: I'm a 17 yr old midwest skiier (MN) but have spent several weeks each year out west. Pretty hard charger, mostly directional skiier. Skied since age 4 and raced 3 yrs but out now with torn labrum(longboard/waterski accident). Looking to expand my college quiver this yr coming out of racing.155-165 lbs(winter lifting) 5' 8" current mountain ski 175 Rmu crm. Looking for a more playful resort ski that could also possibly handle some chutes, cliffs and aggressive straight lining. Vacation out in big sky so wold like something a little more capable for headwaters & A-z that's also fun on off days around the resort.

Thanks!

179cm. 189 would be 13cm taller than you and you don't weigh enough to warrant that much extra length. I might suggest a more narrow ski if you're gonna ski mainly in the Midwest

Thanks! Was really leaning toward 179 just know twins ski short and my 175 Rmu get squirrely at high speed. Also thinking mount at +3 cm. Should be capable at buttering the 179 but 189 too big. Won't be skiing these in the midwest. Only for big mtn

what about the shreditor 102 as a single quiver? id recommend the 179 size for you.

i think that would be too soft for his type of skiing, but yeah that waist size might be better.

@freeskibum82 no need for 1 ski quiver. My Crms are 100 underfoot but ski almost like a light GS ski. Great for really all resort conditions but now just looking for something more playful and capable in powder. Also wanted a twin tip for backwards landings on smaller airs and butters. Grew out of old park skis 2 yrs ago and all my cash went to race gear!
