Ski shop fucked up.

I just got my new skis mounted (faction candide 1.0) and the shop accidently drilled 2 holes in the wrong place. Two holes won't effect the strength or performance of the ski right?

As long as they're not absurdly large you'll be fine. If you actually notice that they do affect you you can always get them filled

they should have filled the holes in the first place...did the OP?

It won't affect the ski but that's bullshit, they should be giving you a new pair. It affects the resale value in the future. Any decent ski shop that botches a mount should replace that ski, especially if they were brand new.

That seems a bit extreme.

If the OP went to a shop that didn't fill holes in the first place, he shouldn't be paying in the first place.

Not the end of the world, OP. Your skis will be fine. I've never even considered resale value when buying or mounting, and if they're already a few model lines old, they probably were never going to be worth much used.

Idk if they botch a mount I wouldn't be totally pissed but a new pair of skis isnt unreasonable. they could easily resell your skis for a good deal, and then have you pay for the mount on the next pair. So they wouldnt be losing too much in my opinion. I wouldnt be totally against asking for a new pair, if you ever have to get them remounted its gonna be a bigger pain in the ass now

I think if you bought your skis there it would be reasonable to get a new pair. But you're most likely not going to get a 500 dollar pair of skis in exchange for a fifty or 100 dollar fuck up. In this example at least they didn't put 16 extra holes in the skis 2 holes isn't that big of a deal.
