Ski Separation Repair

After skiing Sunday my edge and base have separated from the rest of the ski and the edge is cracked. How can I fix this or should I give it over to a shop? Hoping for 10 more days on them this season. Maybe some west systems g flex epoxy?

Yeah you can definitely Toss some epoxy in there and clamp it to get some more days out of the ski. There's lots of guides on here with ski repair so I will let you do the googling, but my only tip would be to make sure you get the epoxy as deep in the ski as you can. Use some toothpicks or needles or something very thin to get it all the way back to the origin of the seperation.

...

ALSO MAKE SURE TO LET IT DRY FOR AS LONG AS THE PACKAGE SAYS

Anyway, good luck my dude

A heat gun or hair dryer will help it get down in there better too.

Was going to mention using heat to make the glue more runny, but you definitely want to be careful with heat too as far as chemicals go. Don't get it too hot and use a well ventilated area, preferably outside

My repairs go better with a buzz but to each their own.

Mix ur epoxy then load it into the corner of a plastic bag. Razor a tiny bit of the corner off the bag, pry the edge a lil and slide the bag in there keeping it flat. Takes a little finesse but that’s my trick.
