Ski sales statistics

I remeber a thread that had the sale statistics of all ski types.

But I searchbarred, and could not find it. Could somebody help me out? Its for school.

I think Doug Bishop made it, it was about how twins were dominating the market or something

o i know what your talking about cant quite remember the thread though but yea twin tips sales were way up

twin sales arent dominating the market, but they do grow exponentially every season as opposed to traditional directional skis, which is slowing down.

expect that trend to grow even more, as you see more older guys getting on extremes as their "midfat" instead of something like the k2 recon.

"Now the single largest adult ski category, twin tips were the money makers this season. Twin tip flat skis surged 32% in units, 35% in dollars and moved from 16% to 22% of all adult skis sold. Exclude carryover sales and twin tips accounted for 36% of the adult ski units and 31% of the dollars."

In other news...

"It looks as though the carve width flat ski is going the way of the dodo. Crashing 45% in units and 44% in dollars, adult carve skis fell from 20% to just 11% of all adult flat skis sold."
