Ski Resort Recommendations?

So I'm from California, but i'll be in town in a few weeks to tour CSU Fort Collins and have the possibility of skiing 1 or 2 days April 10th or 11th (Thurs/Fri). I'm really not too familiar with the resorts though so if I could get some advice on which one's to go to that'd be great.

I'm going with my family so the mountain will need good variety because my parents are beginner/intermediate and my sister and I are advanced skiers. Are a-basin and Loveland any good? They seem to be the closest, and judging by the trail map, have some nice terrain. Breck/Key are also options, but I'm wondering if they will be too crowded?

Thanks for the help and +K for useful answers!

for your purposes I'd just go to loveland. cheaper prices (even cheaper on craigslist if you're willing to meet up and all that) and plenty of greens/blues for your parents while you can just lap the ridge/chair9 all day with no crowds. Key/breck will just be expensive when you're just scoping the area, not to mention if you end up going to CSU I bet you'll end up skiing at loveland since it's the closest I-70 ski area.

Awesome, thanks so much for the help! My sister and I have Tahoe Local passes, so I included key/breck as possibilities because we can get half price tickets there, however I figure the crowds and complexity of the resort aren't worth it for a day trip.
