Ski repair help needed

So my skis base is separating from the sidewall from what I assume to be water damage to the core. Is there any way to stop, or at least slow down this process?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

take it to a ski shop. They're pretty easy to fix and cheap, they just epoxy and glue it and then put it into a mold. Holds real well

holy shit man. Ok just a disclaimer I have never physically done what I am going to suggest to you but I think it could work. Your going to have to do a huge section of base repair, all the way back to where the delam ends. Then resecure the edge (there are techniques for this like using tiny screws I'm not an expert though google it) and epoxy new base material back on. Pretty huge amount of surgery but hey, anything is possible.

The other easier option would be to just squirt a bunch of epoxy into the separated area and clamp the fuck out of it and hope it holds, might want to start with that until its time for new skis.

this isnt uncommon especially if you are hitting a lot of rails which, assuming from the edge cracks, you are. the best way to fix this is mix up some epoxy, spread it over the delam gap and push the spread epoxy deep into the crack with a metal scraper, continue to do this until you feel there is epoxy in all of the delaminating area (you want to fill that crevasse with you mighty juice), then clamp it up, if you clamp it and there isnt epoxy being squidged out, you need more epoxy. then leave it until it goes off/cures (see epoxy instructions for details, the longer cure the better) dont get rapid cure epoxy, its not as strong. I did this repair to my skis 2 seasons ago and its still holding.

Are you refer to something like that? ^

I was thinking of doing this, but I feel as though it might be to large of an area. But I don't have experience with this type of stuff.

What kind of epoxy do you think I should use? I've heard marine epoxy works well, but the guy in the link above uses JB weld. Have anyone used that before?

And thanks for the help everyone one!!! This is helping a lot!
