Ski recs for my dad

Hey NS, my dad is getting back into skiing after about 30 years (he skied back in the 90’s a bit when he was in college) he’s about 5’10 230ish pounds, he is now definitely a beginner skier, he skis 90% groomed runs and the occasional soft snow we’ll get on the east coast in PA. Other than that he doesn’t have very good joint mobility in his ankles. Right now he’s riding a rental ski setup 2013 head rev pro 85 and demo bindings. He’s looking for a ski that is more nimble, on the lighter side, and most importantly has a more surfy feel so he can slash and skid his turns easier. Thanks for any advice new schoolers!

Rossi Experience 82 Carbon could be a good shout, super forgiving and easy to ride. Stoked to hear your dad is getting back on the skis, some of my best days on the mountain were shared with my dad. Hope he finds a good ski!

Rossi Experience 88 Ti. I'm about the same size and I ski the 94 as my hard snow dad ski. The metal in it does a good job of smoothing out the chatter. But it's not full width sheets of titanal so it doesn't make the ski super aggressive.

Thanks for the rec. Yep with me starting to ski it’s getting him excited to get back into it and getting that stoke back.

well if your dads going to get in to park you should probably get like the line chronics or jet skis

Haha I wish, but he’s pretty much strictly groomers only. No park riding for him at 52

Would u say he likes to make the whole mountain his playground ?

The sego bighorn joke is appreciated, but unfortunately no he’s pretty much cruising on groomers only.

Well not joking, my dad is the same age as yours and has been on Rossi experience 83s for two seasons and loves em
