Ski Racers

Dude! thats so dissapointing. Trick needs twintips pronto.

The racers at Canada Olympic Park think that they're the shit. There was a skier x series one year, one of the racer girls got beat by a kid on my old freestyle team who was like 11 at the time and she flipped, kicked her skis off, wipped them in to the grass and procceded to continue with her tempertantrum. And this series was just for fun, just shows how super cerial they take skiing....

I used to race and there are a few kids who are pricks but most of my friends from ski team were pretty chill and now that i quit racing im slowly converting them lol. I only quit because i got bored though....

at sunday river they are 50/50 some are mad chill, others mainly the coaches and some kids are complete assholes, but they stay on their one lift and we get the other 12 so its all good by me

ski racers at my mountain are the gayest little fucks around.. they all think they're insaine and they act like such fags. there was this one racer who goes to my school, who is a complete douche, and he came to school one day with full ski racing gear. (spandenx, boots, helmet) and thought he was boss

ski racing is just prep for how racers will live the rest of their life.

bent over, taking society up the butt.

but this girl is hot.

I grew up racing in Minnesota... but skiing was still a lot more popular than snowboarding back then and well, park was nearly non existent.
Took up freestyle skiing in college since there was no racing to be had and loved it. Senior year I started a ski team and well, loved it.
It's kinda amazing in Mammoth. There is a pretty good harmony between everyone that loves what they are doing and/or are really really good at it.
I see 9 year olds in speed suits with slalom skis doing 3's off jumps. I've even seen the coaches take the kids through the half pipe. I think it almost entirely is up to the coaches. If you have a rad coach that is all about doing what you love and having fun and of course being entirely bad ass while doing it.. then you are in the right place.
From what I've seen in Mammoth. We all love what we do and get along great. The only people complaining are the tourists.

Park rats are huge tools for the most part.

Racers are assholes for the most part.

Powderhounds are picky for the most part.

Telemarkers are elitists for the most part.

Skiers are just douchebags.
