i ahve to say when watching the trailers i didn't think ski porn was going to do so good. I just watched it and it was amazing. the sound track wasn't that good but the overall skiing was simply amazing and jon olssons part put it up there. THIS WAS A SICK FILM
 
Agreed. Jon's segments was illin'. So was Benchetlers. and J.P's. J.P.'s was my favorite. But yeah, movie was siiick.
 
I'm actually kinda bleah about the movie. For one, it was short, and could have been a lot better if the riders parts didnt seem so brief. Jon's segment was sick, true, but could have been soooooo much better. He does a total of like 10 tricks, and you really dont get to see what a versitile skier he is in it. Andy's segment was amazing though, no doubt. And for everyone with the DVD, check out Pep's edit of his segment, its completely incredible and should replace the one in the movie. And Auclair's segment is great, that part was executed perfectly. Overall I'd give it a 8 out of 10. TBC is still better....
 
dude.it was like 50 minutes. not short for a ski film.

i thought it was lovely. i now have skiporn for huge amplitude stoakage, and photoplay for real life chill stokage
 
I know, 46 min is about regular for ski movies nowadays, but it felt short. There was some impressive shit in that movie though.

You know, I want a movie that has all the pro's, like Ski Movies 1, 2 and 3, Propaganda and Happy Dayz. Those were just cool cause you saw the entire years events in one movie. It would be a massive movie nowadays with all the riders, but if a movie featured Seth, Hall, Olsson, Dumont, Carlson, Hatviet, Pollard, Candide, CR, JP, Olenick, Grete and all the other major pro's... wouldnt you buy it? It would have to be like 2 hours long. And if it was filmed by Ostness and Levin... oh god, that would be simply epic. I would buy it no matter the price.
 
been there done that. The skiing was great, but PBP just put together the same movie every year, just with new skiing.. In my opinion :)
 
i know what you mean, but the new skiing is well worth buying a movie exactly like the other ones. i just saw it for the first time last night and some of the skiing in there blew my mind.
 
Mahre was definately a "disappointment" as he didn't do all the tricks I had thought of in my mind, but I'm way too demandive in what I want to see done..

Now what was the sickest trick in there? Probably a straight air follow cam on the JOI kicker following Andreas,holy shit!

JP's part was a perfect end to the movie, and overall it was much better than War. The worst part was definately music choice, and some of the editing was too damn choppy. Gave me a damn headache.

The girls killed it, Kristi did sick rodeos while Grete landed switch in the pow-pow. Michelle Parker does a huge 360 in the bc!

Like someone said, didn't leave too huge of a mark, but still a very respectable effort in showing nothing else but pure, unadulterated ski porn.

i think sammys and andreases egments were ill and peps, and jps. i havent watched the girl segments yet, and i dont plan on doing so.
 
That is such a mistake. That segment is killer. I dont think TBC is better, but its close. Jons part was amazing, also was Andreas's, and JPs was the perfect way to end it. It did show TJs sw 1440, but more importantly it showed dumonts unbelievable cork 5 trucker on the first hit in the pipe in the X-Games.
 
is jons seg the last one is it wack rock music and dose it have a shot of him kissing a girl. if the answer is yes to all of those questions fuck poor boyz johnny descare and his amazing lack of creativity.
 
yeah there's a really good shot of the 1440 with the progression from 1080 to 1440. I don't quite remember the opening trick. wasn't it a huge air to switch on the hip?
 
Sammy had the best part.Jons one was really dissapointing I thought. Compared to what he had in tbc, his part was less cool, and his music sucked. I loved tj shillers part, benchetlers one was weak compared to last years segment. HAtveit was awesome, sick follows and street rail killing. I liked simon dumonts one, the beat was good. One of my favorite segment is mahre's one, I love his style and I liked his weird music. BUt, the most dissapointing thing was pep segment. When I saw that I was like WTF, the music wasnt even music, it was noise, and no pow landing. And Julien Regnier's part always give me a laugh, weird but fun part.(A part in the same style as a part that should have been in the UP series.)

Overall, it was good, but last year when I had war, I was more stoked on it. Better music, and better editing. Id give it a 7/10 (Skimatic 8/10, war 8/10, shangai 8/10, TBC 9/10)
 
dumonts seg was boring, every1 knows hes good in the pipe, but i heard he hits some huge cork 3s in Push, so that should be sick. Andreas's section was the best, he might be as good as vanular on rails
 
i thought the soundtrack was relly good except for julien regniers part. i hate his song with a passion. movie was good though but i thought it was going to be a little better because of its amazing trailor.
 
JUstr a few random shot, I dont know why but candides part in war and ski porn has a really bad quality, looks like it was filmed with a cellphone. And the music for his part sucked.
 
yo pbp always fuckin dose that i thnk evry one who has a seen a poor boyz flick has had emotions of hate towards a song evoked from them in my case almost all of his songs. 12 42 had ok musics for tanner..j.p....deschenaux....and...peps....all of the other songs in all of his movies fuckin suck
 
JPs part was one of my favorite parts in any movie to date, probably only second to pep's 1242. mahre had a good part too, the rest was just mediocre
 
JPs segment is definately the highlight of the movie. Jon, Schiller, Carlson, and Andreas all have strong segments also.

My favorite trick of the year so far is Schiller's butter to jump... I won't explain it because everybody who sees it will be pretty blown away with it's exceptional smoothness.
 
it is 1 of the only movies that I can completely watch over and over again only skippin 1 or 2 segments but mad props to sammy pep andreas.
 
sammy andreas and jon owned this movie...the music was shit, but it had the coolest shots. it just felt short cause i didnt want it to end!
