umm basically the typical poorboyz movie: rad skiing, lame music.

highlights include andy killin the switch scene in the bc, peps part in the bonus, sammys part in the bonus, tj shiller pipe skills and nose butter corks, really good follow cams,mp reping strong for the vaginas, chris pencil steeze b switch in the bc, and dorian stepping up for the old dudes.

worth the buck maybe, watch before u buy
 
ANDY MAHRE! He has one of the most inspiring segments to date in any movie. I'd buy it just for that segment alone... if i had to buy it that is.
 
RFA had the best music in any ski movie ive ever seen, war had g-code and oo ahh, their music is the best
 
couldnt have said it better.

^^^^^ but yeah sammy has opening seggy and he kills it and pep has a pretty good part later on. but both sammy and pep have bonus parts which are alot better than the ones in the actual movie.
 
I really really liked it a lot, there is such a good flow in the movie.

About the music you can always argue, it is a matter of personal preference.

The girls segment was pretty short, could have been longer.

JP's segement was sooooo sick!
 
andreas hatveits part was sick. Hes really good at urban and did some amazing stuff in his seg. I also like sammys part and Jp's.
 
Yeah I was actually really bummed about his segment, because I always feel like his segments are amazing, but his segment was "just another segment." He's probably my favorite skier and pbp is always his big supporter. Andreas was good, but Pep probably could have had a much better "final segment." I did like JP's whole deal though, although it would have been cool in the middle of the movie imo.
 
ski porn is not worth watching, except andreas's segment rules, illest rails ever, besides that, ignor it, just watch anything from propaganda to this, all their movies are the same and are really getting old and lame
 
I have been a fan of poorboyz for awhile, but my favorite is 1242. I dunno, other than Andreas's segment I wasn't really imopressed. It was good don't get me wrong, but poorboyz has the potenial each year to be the best and watch the movie 40 times.
 
his segment in this film was sooo good...i really enjoyed it. andreas hatveit easily has the best skiing ive ever seen in this film with his 190% urban rail domination that shows up everyone, even sammy carlson, whose segment came an easy second best. i really enjoyed this movie. on another note...up.1.2.1 wasnt that great, only the intro is good
 
andy's segment is absolutely ridiculous. progressive. sammy hit's up backcountry...good to see. andreas is a machine and his bro did some sick follow cams. and again...andy is insanely good at shredding switch in powder. pep's seggy is sick. simon's night pipe segment was put together super well. candide is a ninja. jp edited his own seggy and super well at that. good movie.
 
this movie is one janky stanky ride. there is no flow whatsoever and the transitions between parts are way to drastic. this movie should be called blender because its just a bunch of footy mixed together and sold to newschooler kids who wear headband beanies.
 
a liked the transitions in between parts. its called editing and it takes time and skill to do. music was ok for some parts but the segies in the extras are much better then the regular film for sure.
 
i received my copy last week. this is the first ski movie i've ever seen aside from w. millers films. it seems most people think his movies suck. maybe im just too old or un-steezy, i think the warrens ive seen are better than ski porn. i thought ski porn was ok, but im at the point that if you've seen one 19 year old throwing a 5, 7, etc you've seen them all. to that end the movie was like porn. just tricks thrown together. the movie had no soul, no story (even occasion banter from the athletes is decent in ski film- the JP stuff was the best & seth's segments should of been waaay expanded, simon's were disappointing cause we know how capable he is of going off the chart). i think im gonna try the TGR camp, the big mountain shit is more to my liking anyway. the tangerine dream trailer always resonated with me. just my opinion.
 
not sure what everyone is bitching about.... samy had a great seggy, along w/ mahre, pep, schiller,dumont, and jp. Hatviet's was easily the best rail/ park segment ever filmed. Wtch the urban desruction because it cannot be flly appreciated with only one viewing. He shots transition from left foot forward to right to left to right. I honest to god cannot tell which way he slides naturally. HIs jumps are great, especially the 3 no grab. His right ide nine is also dope.

All in all, this was a solid movie. Id take it over the "progrssive story line/ editing" of PYB any day.

ps....i need my goddam lss and skimatic preorders to come in!!!
