wussup OG/tripple OG's..

should I be looking for some 38inch adult poles or should I just cop the kiddie joints at that size? can't seem to find many adult poles in that size.

Dawg i only rocks cross country poles cause they get you there so good. Nice and LONG. Ns made me thing short poles were cool and that was dumb.

Poles are a thift store buy. An aluminum stick is an aluminum stick. Find one thats just right or taller and cut to size as needed. Will never understand buying new poles, especially race dads with the carbon Leki's with releasable straps. $2 vs $100 and the work just as well.

Tbh they work less well. They don't last as long and break easier and are a bigger target to steal. Cheap poles you can just bend back if you crash on it

Most of the on mountain rental places have bar codes for the check out/in of skis and boot, but don't care about poles. If you walk in and ask an employee to rent poles they'll probably just tell you grab a pair. Rental shop employees are some of the most annoyed/ apathetic people I've ever met. Also you can go to home depot and grab a pair of dowels for 6 bucks. If you ski park you don't really need the baskets do you?

If I saw someone using wooden dowels it would make my day or even better rebar. You can’t bend or break it and no one would real it

Tbh the Leki release mechanism seems pretty nice for holding the pole securely while grabbing and is faster to click into. Really wish they sold grips on their own, though I might bite the bullet and just move the grips to the next dumpster sticks after I inevitably brake them. Carbon is pretty hard to break from falling on it since it can flex quite a bit.

Nothing beats the little kiddie pole beaters, they look good, and they don't get in your way at all.
