Ski Pants Lined?

do i need ski pants to be lined if I ski EC and wear long johns under anyway?

Probably not. I ski EC and normally ski long johns sweats and unlined ski pants, and I HATE being cold!

Mine are pretty much a shell. They have a little fabric in between the inner and outer layer, but they're not thick. I wear UA Cold Gear leggings and it works fine. Also long John's are fine, but make sure they're not cotton. Cotton retains water, dries slowly, and is poor at wicking away sweat.

Also what does the EC have to do with anything? Parts of New England get brutally cold.

Seems like you're the only one who can answer this.

Legs getting too hot is a pretty rare problem to have for an inbound skier.

Correction, I wear leggings, sweat pants, and my snow pants. My snowpants are basically a small step up from just a shell. Never get hot or cold.
