Okay. The last 4 pairs of pants I have owned have all been hacked to bits now, and I'm becoming quite tired of it.

What is a good material that I can patch to the bottom of my pants so they arent getting slashed every time I go out..

well when i fall on a box and get burn holes around my knees i use duck tape to patch them up
for the bottom of your pants maybe wrap duck tape from the inside around to the outside? if that makes sense

Rubber backed nylon.
I had burton pants that were getting hacked so much that I started getting snow chunks between the shell and liner of the pant. My mother sewed the pieces of nylon to them and now they're bombproof.

a random clothing shop in seattle sewed some kevlar looking stuff on my dad's pants. i'll try to remember to ask sometime.

spyder and marmot and north face seem to have that anti-super-duper-sharp-edges stuff on the inner ankles of their pantelopes.
