The last 2 time capsule threads were amazing, so I figured why not a third, Post anything you think is important or relevant, that people 2 years from now would look back on, In 2 years I will Bump this thread, and we can all look back and see how much has changed

I'll start:

No quad cork yet

The store is still closed

Bishop may run for prez?

Tom Walisch just broke the record for sliding the worlds longest rail

Ian Compton retired (hopefully he is back by the time this is bumped)

Dennis_Reynolds can cork 7 + and has goten MOTM by only posting "get full tilts"

Saga is now being worn by gapers and their moms everywhere, but still makes a few good looking pieces

Lip on blind 2 is/has been the only trick,

Candide is still killing it

Ninthward is trying to comeback

SLVSH

Younger kids keep getting better and better

Steve Stepp became a girl for a video

The Faction Crew kills it

Orage dumped basically everyone from their team

You better bump this when it comes time OP, currently in 2016...

The Bunch are leading the new creativity movement, Tall T Dan has literally became internet famous based off his persona within ski culture, comp skiing is extremely stale, full length fall releases are being numbered down, Jiberish is still very ski involved, the corporate to smaller brand ratio seems to be about even.

I'll be curious to see what freestyle skiing looks like in 5 years time. Hopefully no quads!

-Epitome of style a blind swap to switch and front swap to forward on the last 3 inches of a rail and landing with your arms forming 90 degree angles at each joint.

-Clothing trends are starting to shift away from the standard baggy pants and big hoodie.

-Nine Knights made a hip instead of a jump and David wise went 46.6 feet high.

-Evan McEacheran isn't human.

-Almost every amateur edit uses awful rap music since what's currently hot is awful.

-Everyone has a boner for keegan kilbride (myself included).

-Jake Mageau kills it.

-There's a group of trendy kids in Duluth that will be the next trashparty.

-Donald Trump is running for president and I think he's just here to troll U.S. Politics.

Ns complains about every aspect of skiing.

Skiing is still the coolest thing on this goddamn planet.

It's the height of the gypsy/bunch style movement.

Many promising amateurs are on the comeup (Kilbride, Walsh, Kerrensy, Carney, Zins, pretty much anyone from PC).

Tall T Productions has seemingly replaced Jiberish as the producer of the most thug apparel.

Core brands are more prevalent

Keegan Kilbride is blowing up

Vishnu is making skis solely for jibbers

The bunch is weird and generate controversy

America swept the Olympics for slopestyle, Joss peaked

The Wells brothers are still sick, with the younger ones on the come up

Last year of west coast session

Keeshlife is different and crushing it

the Hood Crew is still getting money and fucking bitches through snapchat

Nick Gaper

Virtika's female crew slays

The Bunch just went off at Creation Nation

Wibbity Wabs is traveling around Europe and looking for babes on Tinder with the Canosaurus Rex

Alex Hall is blowing up and will be something in 2 years

SIMPLE. has stepped up lately and is putting out some sick edits especially those with Jake Carney who might be my favorite skier to watch at the moment.

SIMPLE.

Keegan Kilbride (if I spelled that right)

Mt Hood has tons of snow right now

Newschoolers barely ever has more than 100 members online

Yoke collection rocks

Nobody will ever talk about jskis without saying "noodles" in the same sentence

-Ski the east is still making edits

-tickets at vail only are $189

-USASA is no longer sponsored by Hi-Chew

-Jay Peak and Burke are associated with Fraud

-Still no CHUGG LIFE (please come back)

Less people use poles than ever before

Shifty surface swaps are trendy again

People do switch misty 7s again (Colby West shoutout)

Backslides, frontslides, and royales are cool, but rollerblading is still considered lame.

Slopestyle courses are getting more creative

Candide is still the best

Simon Dumont is a landscape photographer

If you're over 14 and can't do dubs all 4 ways, chances are you won't make it as a pro comp skier.

Andri Ragettli lands first quad cork

TGP Vol 6

Billy Morgan lands a different quad cork

Slvsh remains the same (hopefully 😀)

This isn't a supposed to be a prediction, its what is happening right now

the future of comp skiing is expected to undergo a major change in the form of a promised redesign of Dew Tour. could it make comp skiing event slightly relevant/not-stale?

Andy Parry blew up his Achilles after releasing one of my favorite edits that features him.

every edit features a lift wheel

Tom Wallisch stopped competing and started riding Line

Alex Hall and Anti Ollila kill it

Pros are starting to ski the midwest

Slvsh is the shit and hopefully will continue to be the shit

Skiing is still fun

-wearing jeans still isn't considered "kool" while skiing

-I'm still not sponsored

-I still suck ass

-I have been promised stickers, Bishop continues to disappoint

Phil and Henrik rep wu tang outerwear

Khai Krepela is now on Line skis

Whistler Blackcomb is trying to rebuild glacier

El nino = its been a weird winter on the east coast

Jib life is still not a thing

this is way more hilarious and spot on than the typical complaints about style these days

I don't mean to complain about it either. It's definitely cool but it's one of those tricks that should be innovated every time it's done. I've never seen or rarely see it with:

- switch 2 before

- blind 2 after

- one foot variations

- grabs

- presses/nollies/ollies

I'm really tired of seeing them on flat rails from people getting onto them normally. It's a trick that needs innovation. Otherwise it will be the next k-fed and there will be swarms of groms thinking they're on par with the bunch because they can shifty tap a rail, but we can let them do their thing.

waving your arms like a idiot and doing all tricks at minimum speed is "cool"

If you shop at the DI your extra "cool" and in this new "wave"

OP delivered on the 2 year bump, but too soon I think....not much has changed it appears.

Well, we now have a quad, ns store is open, bishop isn’t president, orage is like gone? (I haven’t seen much from them this year). I’m on mobile and can’t remember anything else lol

ONE LAST BUMP TODAY! Give this a read, if you want to see how we’ve changed over 2 years, is Dennis still active?

kids are even better now. bro beans squad

flat and cork 180s are not that wild anymore

dub 540

3 more olympic medalists in Slopestyle

big air is still not a fucking olympic sport
