Hey NS, I am writing a thesis for my senior year at college and need your help. If you can fill out this survey it will provide me with preferences all of you have when choosing a mountain. I can then use these preferences to see what is most important to skiers/snowboarders when choosing what resort to visit.

I think you need to have a bit more about trail quality and mountain size in terms of just how people make decisions about where to go. I drive 5.5 hours to Mammoth 2-3 weekends per month. It is a ton of driving but worth it because the mountain is so great. The terrain and the snow quality are the reasons I go. When I stay down south I ski Mt. Baldy because the terrain is much better than Summit or Bear. I think in the drop down menu where people can determine what factor influenced them the most terrain quality and mountain size should be there.

Understood. It's a shame you have to limit it to 5, but I get where they are coming from. You have to draw the line somewhere.

+k. There are two low priced mountains that look similar but have bigger differences in lift wait time and the time it takes to get there. trying to prove if driving a farther distance is something people will do for a cheaper mountain
