So my old skis are 181 cm 1080s, and for this year I really want to get a pair of Seth Vicious. I don't really have the money to buy new so I'll have to buy used. The only problem is that it seems like everyone sold their 179 Seth's, so I would have to go for the 189s. I'm pretty tall and everything (6'5"), but 189 is pretty long. I'd probably mount them at +5, with a big boot, what do you guys think?
 
well i'll be riding them all mountain...but hopefully most of it will be in pow because i'm getting the colorado pass this year (keystone, a basin, breck, vail, beaver creek) and i think i'm going to whistler too.
 
you're a pretty big guy, you should be able to handle it, it will just take a day or two to get used to the length.
 
also, you can mount them closer to center, that will make them easier to turn and better for park as well.
