Ski Length Help

Hey NS, I'm just about to pick up a pair of new Rossignol Scratches, and just wanted to get a few other opinions on the length. I'm 5'8, 140 lbs, and 16 years old. It's between either the 167s or 174s, but as of now I'm leaning more towards the 174s. I've been skiing since I was 8, but this is my very first pair of park skis, and the first year I plan on giving the park a try. I want to do a good mixture of jumps and rails. Let me know what you think.

Sorry, one more thing. At the shop, I checked these skis out, and the 174s were more or less the exact same height as me, maybe a cm shorter.

I'd definitely go for the 174's. I'm 5'8" 125 and I ride 172 Masterminds for park and they work just fine. Nice to have the extra length for landings and you should have no problem throwing them around.

I wouldn't have any problem spinning on and off of rails on the 174's?

Had the same thoughts when i sized up. I dont even notice a differnce anymore. Theyll be more stable on jumps too.

I faced the same problem when I got my first park skis. Luckily, I came to the realization that buying a tad big is the best option. This is because you get the ski when its just that little bit too big but still fine, then you get it while its perfect, then when its maybe a little small and more playful. Since youre probably still growing I would say 174's,
