Ski Industry Help

Hey NGS,

I'm in an entrepreneurship class at Northeastern University and we are working on a project to come up with a shit ton of business ideas. I grew up in Vail and love the ski industry. I definitely want to stay in it for the rest of my life.

I'm coming to NS to see if you guys know any ways that your lives as skiers could be improved. It doesn't have to be a new idea, but just an area of snow sports/ski community that could be improved.

I would really appreciate your guy's help.

K+ for solid answers and on the chance I do run with an idea I will give the original idea owner capital in the business haha.

You guys know the ski industry best. Thank you NS.

pretty sure they disappeared because of some patent troubles, so I'd stay clear of that.

efficient, low energy boot dryers that plug into the cigarette lighter in your car is what 90% of all skiers need. get on that shit. If I could have wet boots, plug this in and have dry boots by the next morning and not have a dead battery I'd be pretty thrilled.

Nips I miss you.

thats a great idea. I was thinking about a hot box idea to fit your boots and gloves in that is low cost and heats and drys your boots every night. low cost is important though. thanks for your help man

It's called 'systematic search' which is where you talk to people who are directly involved in the industry and pick their brain for ideas. 'Systematic search' is the step before market research so you don't waste your time and money running with an idea that has no legs.

low powered electric fence that shocks anyone wearing Rossignol Flashes, are pizzaing, wearing an arcteryx shell, and any gapers in general. then put these fences around the park so that any time they try to enter they get shocked
