Ski for my Duke EPF (>110mm)?

Ey guys,

atm i have a Kästle BMX 108 with a Marker Duke EPF as my touring/resort setup, but i am realy unhappy with the performance of the BMX. The BMX is stiff as hell, and doesnt float really well in 8+ inches of freshyy. and doesn t perform well as an every day ski.The only thing the BMX can do really good is bombing down slops, because of the non existing speed limit.

So i am looking for sth. different for my lonely Marker Duke EPF.

- waist width: >110mm

- rocker-camber-rocker profile

- budget: 450$ (~350€)

- climbing between 2-3000 feet (vertical)

- not too heavy (under 2200g)

- length: 188-205cm

What do you think about:

4FRNT Hoji

4FRNT Yle (too heavy?)

DOWNSkis Countdown 110/114 (maybe to stiff ?),

urface Chronicle (The ski i like the most).

My questions to the NS AT&BC veterans (well the forum is new^^)

Any other suggestions? Or feedback for my "research"? Should I sell my Duke and buy a Tyrolia Ambition 12/ Marker Tour F12? (No money for a Pin-binding atm :'( )

So yeah, would be great to hear some Ideas :D

I ski 4FRNT Hoji (with a Dynafit beast binding) and love that ski. They are the best ski I have ever skied. I think they are perfect as a everyday ski. Not to heavy and not to soft. I think the YLE could be a fun ski if you want something more playful. Not sure on the weight compared to Hoji.

I have the last 4 years had Rocker 2, BD Megawatt, K2 comba and comback, Dynastar XXL, Volkl Gotama and Black Crouvs Corvus. All these skies are good in it own way, but for me Hoji is the best for my kind of skiing. They work as a everyday ski in the resort as well as for hiking.

Check out the KYE 110, I got to demo them last season. They're really solid, and pretty comparable to the Hoji but with some camber underfoot.

The YLE could be a great option for a playful tour setup. They have quite a good bit of contact too for touring. I loved mine.

YLE - 2300 grams

Hoji- 2100 grams

Kye 110- 2400 grams

I never found the YLES heavy at all and they're all around the same weight. It shouldn't be a problem
