Ski equipment, heavy or light??

when it comes to skis, boots, and bindings, is there such thing as a lighter set up being better than a heavier setup? Or is a heavier setup nicer to have than a lighter setup?

U need to have a balance

personally i like a mid weight ski and boot and heavier binding for stability and it gives you more momentum

With the progression of more and more synthetics and carbons being used in ski equipment you'll probably see more and more people using an extremely lightweight setup that still has a damp feel that a heavier one does.

i think its mostly better to have light setup but it would be not to heavy not to light

light is usually better than heavy. Try using a pair of 1080s w/ 912ti, then use a pair of Head Mad Trix w/ Look p12s. BIG difference.

Light is easier to toss around, heavy is generally more dependable. Like someone said, it's good to have a balance, if you have really light skis, you can afford to get durable bindings. And vice versa.
