Ski Dolls!

I want to make a ski doll, so i can ski and steeze out wherever I am. I was thinking of using action figures and dressing them, but they aren't very flexible. Has anyone made their own ski dolls/action figures? or know of a way to make them? I was thinking like plastic tubing with notches as joints...? and just random stuff as the body.
