Ski Companies that have it together, and those that dont?

So, its almost novemeber...and the shop I work hat has not recieved all the orders...

First to show was K2, all at once...they always ship first. This was in June.

Then we got in Salomon and Volkl. Some Salomon trickled in, but for the most part, all these skis came at once.

Like 2 weeks ago, we got our 4Frnt order. This was placed late however, so it was expected.

And still in the last week of Oct, we are still waiting for Line and Rossi. Rossi actually shipped some of this years skis as warrenties for last years stuff. We got our warrenties, but not our actual order? Rossi is usually good, but they seem to be slacking right now. (maybe the move to Utah?)

And Line...I dont know. I like the new line stuff. The Prophet series is sick. But they last 2 years, they have promised shippments in time for Nov 1 and last year, it didnt come until about Christmas.

I dont know why I made this post...

What I was getting at was that some companies have their stuff more together than others. The thread some kid made about the 171 Invaders not coming in yet set me off.

Dont you have some C-Notes to go sell or something?

And i sold those cnotes like 8 months ago.
 
It's different wherever you are. My shop didn't have their k2s as of last week, while other shops in town have had them for a month. But at the same time they've got their Armadas, Volkl, Dynastars, Atomics, Salomons, and Rossi in. And they had B-Squads last spring (including 2 pairs of 194s and 8 pairs of 189s). Why is k2 not around? who knows.

Fuck, there is a shop in Grande Prairie of all places that has 193 EHPs and ARGs in stock, how does that make sense?
 
do you send them written orders? becuase it'd probably take a few extra months to decipher your english. ^ I can't believe how crappy line is doing with this that's not cool at all to say nov. 1st and be so damn late, dont they realise people WANT to buy their shit, but are buying other shit because they dont wanna get screwed and miss the first month of ski season? I wanted some anthems, but it didn't look good as of a couple weeks ago so I got ar6s (I know, not a very similar ski, but i had my reasons) K2 did mad good from what I saw, I saw The whole 07 line up in the spring before the mountains were closed for the season.
 
my friends dad is the lib tech/ gnu rep. This year all the mervin companys, quicksilver, dynastar, and rossi moved to one warehouse in Utah.

He almost lost all his sales because non of the boards had shipped as of last week. He ended up flying out there and shipping 40 orders himself in order to not lose his commision.

I've said all that to say that rossignol/dynastar aren't doing too well with shipping this year. Apparently the unemployment rate in utah is quite low and they are having a real hard time finding help in the warehouse. I guess they have prisoners working there and are way short on help...

 
It also does not help when a company is going to lay off workers and when the workers get 75% of the preseason orders done they all quite at the same time to screw the whole company over. Welcome to the world of Mervin Manufacturing for 2007. Quicksilver did not bring enough of the employees from Burlington over to Utah, this caused huge problems in CS and then when you put in a new computer system and hire all new employees in a new warehouse to pack and ship orders you are going to have an absolute mess. We were fortunate to have 85% og our preseason back in July but we were one of the few that were actaully pushing for it to come that early. We had BSquads back in Feb.

 
I asked the dude at my local shop about the rossis and he said theyre behind cause of the move although they do have the scratch fs in stock.
 
Rossi actually came in today. Line is still not in.

And Armada was shipped same time as Salomon. I had forgotten them. We got 5 pairs of pipecleaners too!!
 
idk where you working at i worked at a ski shop in ny and my rep from k2 was a retard and fucked up our orders so many times we said fuck it and dropped it all we got from them was the pe's on time but i found that saloman was good and prob the best plus the rep was chill line wasn't very good prob got our shyt like early december
