Ski buying advice

My name is AJ and I normally ski on the EAST COAST. I am an INTERMEDIATE skier that skis just about everything. I am looking for a pair of skis that performs in ALL CONDITIONS (but I often find myself going SIDECOUNTRY) and that can go VERY FAST. I am tall dude, about 6'5 and I weigh over 200 lbs.

I was looking at medium waist width and very stiff skis, like the Volkl Mantra, Line Supernatural, or Blizzard Bonafide. I have some Line Opus' from 2014 right now. But, they are simply to fat for the east coast. My budget is nothing above $500 without bindings.

I was wondering if you had any advice on what skis would fit me and what I want to do on the slopes.

Bonafides are quite gnarly unless you are advanced-expert. Mantras or Supernaturals would suit better out of what you have found.

Definitely add Atomic Vantage 100s to your list

Maybe look into the Armada ARVti in 188cm. They are discontinued for this year but you can still find previous years online for cheap. 98mm underfoot, same ski as the Edollo but with titanal layers to improve stability at high speed. Apparently great all mountain crusher.

If you want something stiff I'd say volkl gotama's or volkl bridges. They're both stiff and ride super well especially for the east coast. They cutt through crud like nothing and hold their edge really well. look into them both

Suggestions in these threads always crack me up. Big dude wants a east coast all mountain type of ski, so he gets super soft park skis, fat skis, etc. suggested.

I'm a big guy too, who skis pretty regularly on the east coast. If you're looking for something that can do anything, I don't think you need to go more than 100mm underfoot.

I have a pair of Atomic Vantages that are my normal go-tos when I am skiing on the east coast. They do everything pretty well, and won't kill you on cost.
