Ski boots for winter season in italy

Hi everyone,

I'm off on monday to italy for a ski season but i'm not too sure what boots to take,

I have a pair of Salomon Verse boots:http://galacticsnowsports.com/salomonverse245grey.html

My question is....

I will be learning some more freestyle based skiing and trying to learn the park and back country a bit more with my Liberty Phil Larose Pro skis and i'm not too sure which boots to take... The verse boots feel more flexible and comfortable but the SpeedMachines feel like they would offer more control.

Please can someone tell me what boots i should take.

I will be using them for the full season (until May time)

In my opinion, i think that this is mostly personal preferance based on the amount of skiing you will be doing eaither in the BC or in the park
 
The MOST important thing in a boot is that it fits you well. Think about it, when you are skiing you spend your whole day in the boots therefore you need to have a boot that won't hurt your feet and ruin your skiing days. Therefore the best advice we can give you is to go to a boot fitter and try the boots there and see what the guy tells you. That being said the Phil Larose are real noodles so I'm really doubtful you'll be hitting BC with those skis (I hope you have another pair of skis for BC ) but if you only have those skis you would be better off with a softer boot. A stiffer boot will be useless with those noodle skis, unless you plan on having another pair of skis for outside the park then you are better off with a mid-stiff boot I guess. How much time do you plan on spending in the BC and in the park? But the most important part is.. GO TO A BOOTFITTER
 
it'll be maybe a few hours ever 3 or 4 days and pretty much most of the time will be in the park or skiing in the streets lol
 
You didn't even read. He already has these two boots, you just read the title and repeated what you've heard hundreds say before you.

For Italy, I would take the Speedmachines. You will really like the control and stability for hard lines and BC riding, which is what you will get the most of in Italy. Not so much for park when I was skiing there, but things change in a couple years. If you are going to be there for a season I don't see why you can't ship the other pair to yourself or something though, it would be worth it to have both for sure.
 
Actually I thought he might have had broken english and meant it as in I could have either of these. But I do understand what you're saying, sorry OP!
 
thanks for the advice everyone. I think I will take my Nordicas and then if I need them I can get my Salomons sent over (good excuse to get some friends to visit ) lol.
