Ski boot color sexism

Why do the women always get the white boots? I like white boots, and it seems most white boots are womens. Anyone else ever notice this?

Yeah, but I'd say girls have it worse when it comes to skis. 95% of every women's ski is either pink, purple, white, etc. and they usually have hideous designs. If I was a female I would never buy women's ski gear.

Thats a fact, but I think boots are more important than the skis, and if a girl is good she can ski mens skis. Idk, I just want white boots.

Then paint them white

Lol ive never heard anyone complain about boot color. Your pants cover half the boot up anyways

Why not get womens boots? BTW I have some extra white boots at home. Except for the cuffs they don't look very girly. Pretty nice rossi shells. I don't remember the size. Not worth it to me to ship but I'd bring them up to Timberline if anyone wants to look at them.

I have a friend who is a guy that wears womens full tilts.

If they're the Mary Jane's then I don't think anyone would notice unless you got a close up look. They look just like high fives.

Not quite sure why so much hate directed at op, but i have noticed this too. Not a big deal, but it's just kind of stuck out in my mind

Food for thought/question of the hour: do you think all skiers all over the world agree on what colors are awesome?

In my experience, people tend to live in their own little world and naturally view the color trends/what is cool in their own country (or segment of their country). Rarely do people understand color trends on a global scale, and it is by far one of the most annoying/frustrating parts of my job.

With very few exceptions, hardgoods companies don't make separate color ways for North America and Europe and Asia any more (it's simply getting too expensive). There is one option and the entire world gets it. That means making people happy in the USA, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Russia, Japan, and Australia with the same boot is pretty much impossible. I have come to realize that no matter what color boot you make, a part of the world will hate it. Even an all black or all white boot will get hate from somewhere.

Like I tell everyone, its not about being good, its about looking good.

White express the grace and women look more pretty in white, therefore they like white. Also, it is feminine color.

No its not, I have never heard this.

I definitely don't understand color trends on a global scale, but that puts this into perspective why its sort of cyclical on styles. Some years all boots are crazy colors, next they are all murdered out.

To the guy who said buy womens boots, arent they skinnier? I dont have a super wide foot but in comparison to my girlfriends, its a lot wider.

Yea that's the only issue. I would say go to a bootfitter cause you'll be a lot happier with a boot that fits rather than a boot that kills your foot that is white.

But you are a guy, how can you say that? :p

Not necessarily. My wife has ski boots that are wider than mine. I have pretty skinny feet but there is no shortage of skinny men's boots.

I had two pairs of white ski boots. Rossi Freeride XX, and Atomic M110s. I like white boots.

Don't much care as long as it fits, if was bright pink with hello kitty on it Id wear it if the fit was perfect. My choice in boots is largely restricted to things above a 130 flex though.

A lot of people bringing up fit. I would never sacrifice fit for aesthetics, I just don't see many mens boots in white, but a lot of womens boots are white.
