Ski backpacks?

Dakine Heli Pro. Awesome!

Very happy with mine; durable and there's functions for everything. I think it's like 80$ or something...

i was looking for something light weight and versitile. i was thinking the heli pro but i wanted to see what else was out there.

I have owned a number of in-bounds, slack country, and touring packs. My current favorite is the gregory drift. Size is small enough to use in bounds, but will hold enough for small tours. It feels pretty light (much lighter than my Dakine chute, almost as light as my BCA stash). I like the fitment a lot also. I didn't doesn't come with a bladder, but will support most.

cant go wrong with the heli pro. pockets and buckles for everything you could possibly need.

unless your skiing far out of bounds and ridiculous steeps, might not be a bad idea to look into the pack with the airbag

I don't want to start an airbag holy war, but think about where you ski. Most of the testing/uses have been in more wide open areas. The evidence so far in those areas is awesome. If you ski somewhere like the Wasatch, 60% of our deaths are trauma related. Surfing on top could possibly be worse in high consequence ranges.
Just something to think about. There is no conclusive evidence out there that airbags hurt in high trauma related areas.
