Ski Areas that do not make snow

The title pretty much says it all, my local hill doesnt have any snow making equipment at all and really has no intentions to put it in anytime soon. It doesnt open till after christmas which of course sucks and honestly its the only ski hill these days that I can think of that doesnt make any snow at all. I was just wondering if anyone else knows of any hills out there that do not have any snowmaking at all.

Sparknotes: Do you know of any hills out there that dont have any snowmaking?

Mt. Bohemia in the u.p of Michigan doesn't make any snow. They rely soley on snowfall. The place usually doesn't upen till mid- end of december, or jan depending on snow conditions. But its the only real "mountain" in the midwest, has the best terrain, and is the one of the only places where you can ski pow in the midwest, they don't groom any of their runs, and only have two lifts (one of which is broken now). It is by far the biggest ski area in the midwest by far. I own a season pass there, its the only place i ski in the midwest besides granite peak in wisconsin, and Marquette mountain for terrain parks.

The rest of the midwest blows like the wind.

not in the US, but as far as I know the "Zugspitze" resort doesn't have any man made snow either. It has a glacier though...

Very occasionally at the end of the ski out but still one of the most environmentally friendly ski resorts in Canada (although ski resorts are pretty terrible in general).

Mad River Glen.At least for the most part they have like 2 guns just to patch things together at the base. pretty hardcore.

Whitewater in BC has zero snow making, Pretty sure that the majority of ski hills in the kootenays have zero or very minimal snow making.

Pretty sure Mt. Seymour has zero as well

It was shit, the hill was open from late January till late February. I still don't understand for being a tiny Midwest ski hill how there's no snowmaking at all haha

Revelstoke didn't have any until last year. We have a couple of guns now covering lower mountain, but that's it.

Mount Seymour in Vancouver didn't have snowmaking last time I checked.

Red Mountain, Whitewater, Revelstoke (ok, they have like two guns, but they're not really used much and just at the base), Sunshine (maybe they have a gun or two as well for the base area?), There's probably more like Mt. Washington, Shames... does Powder King have any snowmaking? I doubt it.

The interesting thing about my hill is we really, really need them. yet no effort has been made to get them...

My hill doesn't

Boise Idaho: Bogus Basin.

Reasoning? Not quite sure, but mostly due to the fact that they are not for profit organization. They lease the land out from the forest services in the winter.

Result: opening after christmas every/ shitty skiing come early and late season. And they always start late and end early.

i dont know how the hill could do that. my local hill got about 0"-4" all last winter, but theyre really good about snow making so they still had a pretty average season

Plenty of smaller hills in Montana don't. Showdown, Maverick, Turner, and Bear Paw Ski Bowl all don't have snowmaking.
