Ski area with the most douches per capita?

PNW local here... Snowqualmie and Crystal have stuck up people but I’m used to family-mountain vibes AND a top notch, fun park at White Pass WA.

Jackson hole. The most basic Bros, always spouting off about "how sick MY line was" and talking mad shit about everyone who is in a different clique. Then there are all the semi-pros from tgr cutting lines and acting like they fucking own the place. Also thousands of rich tourists who think they are pros and strut around like they also own the place. It fucking sucks.

Corbett's is overrated. There have been many amazing airs into that thing but when someone says: "I sent corbett's" it usually refers to them rolling the 10' drop then skiing down the rest of it like any other trail.

I bet this is true, but hey it’d be dope to work as a bartender there! Bet the tips would be ridiculous!

I second this. Interacted with so many douche bags when I've been to Killington. Also probably Mt snow since it's so close to NYC

Agreed, most of the locals are mad cool but there’s so many tourists and second home owners who can be quite douchy

Definitely. I did it a couple times in a day and decided it was dumb as hell waiting in line to ski such a basic run. There is more technical stuff in the upper peninsula of Michigan, shit you not lol.

Yeah imma have to doubt that one. Corbet’s might not be all it’s cracked up to be, but the near vert drop to enter it is gnarly and unlike most marked terrain anywhere. Where in Michigan?

Run-outs are everything. the drop isn't a big deal. Mount bohemia has some rock drops with run-outs through moguled up glades that will fuck you up if you go a couple feet to either side. Corbets run out is like a big blue groomer.

A big, blue, 45 degree groomer.

What are you trying to say, kiddo? I know Jackson very well. Corbets is easy as shit. Especially compared to 30 other lines in Jackson.

Is there a ski area in mass cuz that’s gotta be the place.

Haha we have wachusett which can be kinda douchey but it’s not big enough to attract the douche volume that places like Killy or mt snow do

Other mass hills aren’t big enough to attract douchiness at all, everyone I meet at places like nashoba valley is chill

Boreal...legit seen dudes get shoulder checked for snaking in between jumps

Full of hardo Bros that think they are pro but are actually just really stoned angry dicks still trying to rep the gangsta style.

Just because the landing is shitty doesn't make it "gnarly".

I don’t disagree with this statement but I will back up the previous statement that Bohemia is the real deal for testing your skill level & control in hairy situations.

I rode it on a tracked out weekday & it was insane how technical & steep some of that terrain is. It’s soo fun but It’d be very easy to get fucked up there from unmarked cliffs & thick trees.

Ive spoken to a number of experienced skiers / snowboarders that have spent a lot of time in zones all over the west coast that still say Bohemia is some of the most challenging riding you can come across.

West coast is the Mecca in the US for a reason (good snow, much higher elevation etc) but west coasters seem to think of everything else as chump change

I've never even been to Jackson but from what I've seen in videos this seems spot on. Mainly the tgr part

They drive me insane. Todd Jones hikes like a goddamn sloth up bootpacks and doesn't let anyone pass. They all ski basic lines and play it off as some huge accomplishment.

My sister works in the daycare at the Yellowstone Club. I asked her about this. Apparently all of the guests are actually pretty friendly.

I feel like everyone has a huge ego there, or are they just jerks, im curious

It’s a mix of people who care way too much about how others perceive them and people who don’t care at all.
