Ski and Snowboard Video Contest

I have to organize a service project for school and I was thinking a snowboard and ski video contest for charity would be a good idea. Kids could submit their videos for a price, and then we could give out prizes. All money from ticket sales and submissions would go to the charity. Anyways, I need your help. Do you think I should do individual submissions for videos, or group submissions.

no they are giving the charity money. I dont make anything. We are going to have skis,snowboard, hats, shirts, head phones, and probably a gift certificate for backcountry.com. Im just wondering if it would be better to have group submissions, or if individual submissions would be better.
 
lots of companys do that. like meijer (a grocery corp in michigan) is doin one with big prizes and 5 dollars for a video to be entered
 
the problem with the op's idea tho is that the winner doesnt get any prize it sounds like.

or are the prizes that your talking about for the winner? it sounds like theyre for the crowd to stoke them and to justify them paying money to see these videos.

your gonna have to make a lot of hype if you want this to be anywhere near as big as i think you want it to be. if your having a hard time getting people on the internet to understand your plan im worried about how smooth this will go..
