Ski advice Please!

I'm debating on pulling the trigger on some Moment Night Trains although the issue that I'm having is that the only length available in my "range" is a 178.

I'm 5'11" and 160lbs, my fear is that this is too short of a ski for what they're intended for, especially with the rocker profile.

Whats is NS's opinion? Any personal experiences and advice is welcome, obvious +k for reasonably thought out responses

just cause you make the wrong choice doesnt mean he should also. 179's will ski WAY short on anything besides deep pow im 5'7" and i have to ski in the 185ish range you would probably be 192ish for a heavy rockered ski

the reason i got 179 because with hellbents float is not an issue but it would be easier to tree ski and tight turns and easier to spin

Do not get - that's way too short for a rockered pow ski for someone of your size. For reference i'm 5'6 and ski a 183 Bent Chetler and I wish it was a bit longer.

Also whenever iluvpow gives some advise it's best to do the complete opposite. Every bit of gear advice i've ever seen him give is retarded.

The idea of the a powder ski is to float. Not spin. Any rocked ski is gonna feel shorter cause the tips are raised. That 178 night train will probably ski like a 150 cause its a jib pow ski and both tips are raised. Always buy longer in the pow department with rocker skis.

It will ski even shorter than that IMO because my 185 jj's ski like 150 haha and I have no experience on the night trains. I would recommend the 192 bent chetler use the search bar and dome guy is selling them for cheap
