Ski ability

If part of your ski is missing, it may very well effect your ability to ski. Unless your just imagining that part of your skis are missing...

ok thanks also how many skis do you guys go through in a year? I am on my third set but what could i do to keep them last longer. I am almost 100% park but i like to hit up some groomers every once in awhile. do i just have to accept that my skis will only last for a few months or are there things i can do to them to make them last longer. my n problem underfoot starts to delam.

I'm no expert, but if by delaminating you mean the topsheet is chipping/slightly coming off, it shouldn't affect anything but aesthetics. If you're talking about the bottom of the ski, then it will affect your performance.

Either way, you shouldn't be going through 3 pairs a year unless you're fucking slaying.

I still don't think you should be going through 3 pairs of skis in a year. To help maintain your skis, make sure to bring them inside after a day of riding, wipe your bases with a dry towel and let them stand with the bases out if they're leaning against a wall. Filing any burrs, nicks, or cracks so they're smooth on your edges will help a lot as well, along with other regular maintenance like waxing.

May I ask what kind of skis your riding?

I'd say that's a pretty solid ski and I see no reason to be going through 3 pairs a season. So yeah just do some maintanence on them, especially filing your edges clean of nicks and burrs. Good luck with em!
