Skateboarding

can confirm this was me first time dropping in a quarter pipe if it makes you feel any better

Skateboarding is a good sport, but you really have to be able to deal with pain. I can't think of a sport out there off the top of my head where pain in really any area of the body is more routine. Now, lets have some fun boys :)

I did a frontside kickturn at a weird angle I wasn’t used to and now I’m sitting here with a broken leg

A couple years back I tried to do a frontside ollie onto a small ledge and caught my wheel I ended up snapping both bones in my arm completely so they stuck out of my skin and went into surgery for it.

can confirm

my friend can do pop shove its but i can run and hop onto my skateboard so im more gangster. and she speeds up like shes never skateboarded before

she can't even do that hahaha what a loser

yeah im just going to insult my friend on here because she lurks and she'll probably see this but won't comment

definitely one of those sports like hockey where if you start off rly rly young it helps a lot. i spent my whole childhood learning how to ride around comfortably and ollie. once that shit is out of the way it doesnt get any easier but it gets more fun when u can do some tricks

Thank you

Amazing sport . I feel like it helps my mental health too . Definitely agree that once you can ride around fast comfortably and Ollie on command it gets better . Ripping through some streets and ollieing any curb or crack you need , feels great.

Good fast high ollies will never go out of style either.

Also learning how to wallride and powerslide make street skating feel like powder skiing.

Figure skating comes to mind and also gymnastics.

I'm not trying to downplay the difficulty of skateboarding at all. Getting any better than mediocre seems nearly impossible. I gave up years ago and now only pull the board out to mess around with my kids, I can still Ollie (maybe 6") and shoveit and Nellie shoveit. I still can't kickflip or heelflip to save my life.

Have been skating for a month moving along pretty well I think. And I’ve taken shinners that made me want to throw up 2 many times to count.
