Skateboarders of Newschoolers

Whats is your setup? Primarily what trucks do you ride? Im stuck between riding Thunders and Independents, I really like both but they have their pros and cons. Tell me which is better? Also post anything that you are hyped on in the skating world!

I am personally stoked for Jake Donnelly's VX part soming out next week!

+K for embed and..........GO!

I have an enjoi board with independents and 50mm cheap wheels. China red bearings. Also have a mystery with thunder trucks and 51mm flip wheels. China reds. I don't really notice a huge difference in trucks. It's more in the board. I like wider boards. I think the Indys look better though. The purple kostons that fade to black.

Dub post but I think the indys slide better. The kingpin is lower. Only real pro I see other than the axle is completely flat across the top (bottom?) unlike the thunders.

Go indi or go home. They are heavy but if you aren't a pussy you can wield them well and they will hold up like champions

Bahaha nice,

Uhm OP go with what you feel, it's all preference really. Indy's are heavier thunders have a weird shape to them. It's all preference, however I will say whatever truck you get make sure its the same or close to the width as the board you ride and get High trucks they're better you wont have the same pop or reaction with lows or mids.

I don't ride indy's or thunders I ride Krux trucks hahah I love them

Girl Mariano 7.5 deck, Venture trucks, blank wheels. I used to ride indy's and they're indistructable but heavy as fuck. I switched to ventures and didn't really notice much difference other than it seems a little easier to flip the board.

Also, I'm still hyped on Pretty Sweet and recently watched DGK's Parental Advisory which I really liked.

Ventures and those bones bushings, they make such a difference. Bones 100a 55mms cause big wheels are good, and a 7.8" traffic deck.

8.125 Mystery Balanced Concave (LOVE having a symmetrical board), Chrome Indys, and some old hubba wheels that have treated me right for almost two years

Thunder trucks are way better for bowls and stuff independents to me feel better when I'm riding street. Skateboarding is all about your feel its like ski/snowboard boots bindings etc... It all depends what you skate

Whatever's on sale on the Internet. But for troughs I go with Thunderbird. And although it's really expensive Rodney Mullen Uber light is my favorite deck. Although I think they change the name to double impact.

Some of my fave video parts from 'back in the day' (with the exception of Fully Flared). Enjoy!!

I haven't skateboarded in probably 8 years, but I consistently rode Flip boards with Venture trucks and Ricta wheels when I did.

8.0 northend shop decks, indy lows, bones SPF and whatever bearing i get my hands on.

Indys are the way to go, same pair for almost 2 years now

This was my first deck:

It was awesome haha. Snapped it trying kickflips down my neighbors front steps when they weren't home one day.
