Skateboard rail work for skis?

Hi guys,

I am a little new to the park scene. I am looking at setting up a little rail in my backyard for this summer. I am curious to if a skateboard rail would work?

if it's long enough yeah, but from what ive seen arent skateboard rails pretty short a lot of the time

depends, i have this blue skate rail that made of aluminum that doesn't slide at all... but i know people with steel ones which would work well if not being too short.

this, portable skate rails are like 7-9 feet long most of the time. if the size is good then there isn't a problem

for a summer setup, id say go for it. but under any other circumstances i would think it'd be to short

You can use one, but they are usually short. Just make a PVC rail, i made a 12ft one and it only cost 20 bucks.

If you have one of the red x factor rails. Don't even bother. Literally after 20+ minutes of straight candle waxing, it still didn't slide.

i think your better off making a cheap pvc rail. you can build it how you like and it works so much better. i can give you some tips or plans for a couple different pvc rails
