so i was an idiot and i oiled up my bearings with oil for small engines(not engine oil but 3 in one oil). after a couple of days they got really quiet and started running slower. what to do, what to do?
that weird because that shouldnt make them slower,
but just go ahead and use whatever oil you want to use,
tip: get a bike, turn it upside down and put it on its highest gear, spin the back wheel and put your wheel up to it after soaking the bearing, shit will go everywhere but just clean it off with a rag or something and they will be fast as hell, trust me
They're probably fine. That oil might be a bit thicker, and it's creating more friction. The free roll speed isn't really a good indication of how they roll when you're riding, if that's what you're judging. If you actually jump on and glow slow as hell then use acetone or something that will remove the oil and get something a bit less viscous.
