Skate 3 Flips

Alright I am having major problems with actually flipping in Skate 3. I basically could throw down in all the other skates with double backs and fronts and a few other doubles. But when ever I go to throw a backflip or a frontflip my character usually just does a grab... Any tips? My difficulty is on normal.... Thanks plus K+ for any help...

Ollie, grab than flip. Look it up in the trick guide too.

ya man its all in the timing, also i find that the left trigger works way more for me.just find a nice kicker and practice the timing

I cannot backflip for the life of me... Its so booty they changed the timing :/

Join the EA Skate cult if you want a lot of tips but flipping is now all in the timing. Ollie then wait a heartbeat and then set the flip, it's weird at first but you get used to it fast.

you just have to be more deliberate and late with the flip. flick the ollie hard THEN set your flip. but yeah its sort of a pain in the ass

what i do is that i just double tap the left stick, in the direction i want the flip to start

as much as i have tried to adapt to skate 2 and 3 i am still loyal to the origional and its superior movment system, they seriously screwed up and kinda cheaped out with the more recent ones even though they have put in some handy new things it just doesn't seem the same IMO.

Drop a kicker, right on a ledge, or something like that, because you really need trajectory more than anything. Ollie, grab both, which is what I do, then push the right analog stick to the upper left/right for flipping spins.

skate 1 till death. skate 2 was fucked cuz of the view and some other stuff. they brought back the low view, and made the jibs and the flow in skate 3 super sick. but they had to fuck up corks and flips. god damnit.

yeah ive had probs with my mute front sevens in skate 3. had em on lock in all variations in 2, but when 3 hit around it just got crazy impossible. might have to find/build a better jump for em tho.
